The Beacon Restaurant

At the Beacon, we believe in a social dining experience that encourages our pupils to interact with others whilst also showcasing the appropriate etiquette of a lunchtime service. Our pupils sit at round tables to facilitate socialising and the development of oracy skills. All our pupils have a school lunch which encourages pupils to try a wider range of foods. Below is a poster that is placed on all of our tables during lunch, this aims to remind pupils of the expectations and routines at the Beacon Restaurant.

We passionately believe in healthy eating and take the opportunity to promote this to our pupils. Our pupils choose their lunch from our range of choices to develop independence. Pupils have free access to a salad and vegetables offer and our encouraged to eat these daily. Staff members also take time to eat at the Beacon Restaurant which provides a real sense of belonging to both our staff and pupils.
