Remote Learning EYFS (Reception, Nursery and 2-3 room)
Welcome to the EYFS Remote Learning webpage. Please see links below that your child can use to access our remote learning curriculum. As school is now closed we are delivering whole class lessons on Microsoft Teams. Your child has had a log in sent home on paper.
EYFS Remote Learning
Whilst your child is not at school, teachers will be setting work remotely for your children to work on. Work will be set on a weekly basis and your child will be given an English and Mathematics lesson to take part in each day. We will also provide you with activities that will support your child’s Personal, Communication and Language skills, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
Tapestry
We will use Tapestry to set work for your child. You will be able to log in and support your child’s learning using the activities provided. Families can take photographs or write comments and upload them onto Tapestry. Staff can then respond to your child’s work and this also keeps a good link between home and school. We love seeing what your child has been working on!
Don’t forget you can always email us at any time at [email protected] with any questions or just to say hello!
Daily Timetable
Each families capacity to make time for this will be different, but a number of families have asked for a structure through which they can organise what they do. It is easy for the day to become lost and hard to keep track of what you have achieved. We understand that it may be difficult to keep to the same structure everyday, but we have included an example of a timetable you may wish to follow with your child at home and you can adapt it to suit your needs.

Phonics |
Keep a look out on Tapestry for Phonics activities for that week. We will be looking at a different sound each day and working on some tricky words too. There are lots of things you can do at home to help your child’s reading. You could be a Phoneme Detective and have a look in stories around your home and see what letters you can spot. You could also play Squirt the Word outside, writing letters in your yard or garden and spraying them with a squirty bottle of water! You could also write the letters or tricky words down and have them on your stairs, so each time you go up or down you can say the sound the letter makes or read the word. Also, have a look on the Reading Eggs app, there are lots of games you can play on there! |
