Pupils' Character - Inspire Child

We have planned very carefully a series of activities within our curriculum that support the development of our pupils' character. These are linked explicitly to our Christian Values. We develop a pupils' character to support the atmosphere and behaviour within our school.

Worship and assemblies are planned and linked to developing a pupils' character alongside work within PSHE lessons and also in themed days when appropriate e.g. ethos afternoons.

Our extra-curricular clubs, residentials and volunteering is all linked to developing our pupils' character. Pupils also live out their character as part of their Pupil Leadership Team roles and responsibilties.

We want our children to flourish with certain qualities, skills and a good set of positive personal traits. We want our children to be motivated and behave with integrity, to cooperate consistently well with others.  Where possible, we give our children ‘real-life’ experiences within the community to develop their character. This is through working with the local foodbank, St George’s Food Pantry, litter picking in Everton Park, taking part in ‘Switch Off Fortnight’ to reduce the amount of energy we use in school and sharing top tips with our wider school community.
