World Autism Awareness

Class: Reception A Year: 2022 - 2023

This week is Autism Awareness week and today we wore blue to show support to the Light It Up Blue campaign and to standing together to make a world of difference for people on the spectrum.  It was also our chance  to celebrate our differences and spread the message about always being kind.
We worked with our partners and talked about what we like, what we don't like and what we are good at! We told our partners what we liked about them. We realised we were all different! But being different is ok ?? We looked at our friends and noticed how we were all different e.g wearing different clothes, some children like football, different hair colour etc
We all had our own jigsaw piece to colour in. We talked about how the jigsaw puzzle represented our part in class, and how each piece is different but equally as important.?
