Ms Sylvester
Your Year Y2 class teacher is Miss Sylvester.
We hope you have had a lovely Easter break and are very excited to welcome children back for an exciting Summer Term!
Swimming
Starting on Monday 15th April Y2 will be going swimming every Monday. Please send children to school with a swimming costume or swimming trunks, a swimming cap, goggles and a towel. We recommend writing names on all items.
PE
Y2S' PE day is Wednesday. Your child can come to school dressed in their Beacon PE kit on a Wednesday for PE to make undressing and dressing easier for them. We will be doing Gymnastics in the hall.
Your child will need their own labelled water bottle in school each day as well.
Clubs
Y2 have Athletics Club on Tuesday, Cheerleading on Wednesday and Football on Friday. You will recieve a text to confirm if your child has a place.
Residential
Y2 will be going on our residential trip next term, if you need further information about this please email the school or call the office.
Homework
Homework will be sent home in books each Friday. Spellings can be accessed on EdShed and will be sent home each week. You can find assignments on MyMaths and each child has a login for Timestables Rockstars.
Homework in books needs to be completed by the following Tuesday. Children who bring homework in on time will recieve a homework dojo.
Reading
Reading is a very important aspect of learning not just in Year 2, but right throughout the children's school journey. We actively encourage you to read every night with your child. In order for your child to gain reading rewards you need to read with them 5/7 nights and sign and date their reading record.
