Your Year Y2 class teacher is Mr Palin.
Y2 have lots of very exciting learning opportunities planned throughout the year and we are delighted to welcome Y2 back to The Beacon.
Here you will be able to read and find out about all of the different things that we get up to in Year 2.
Swimming
Starting on Monday 15th April Y2 will be swimming every Monday. Please send your child to school with a swimming costume or swimming trunks, a swimming cap, goggles and a towel. We recommend that names are written on all equipment.
PE
Y2P's PE day is Wednesday. Your child can come to school dressed in their Beacon PE kit on a Wednesday for PE.
Your child will need their own labelled water bottle in school each day as well.
Clubs
Y2 have Athletics Club on Tuesday, Cheerleading Club on Wednesday and Football Club on Friday. You will recieve a text to confirm if your child has a space in a club.
Homework
Homework will be set on MyMaths or there will be homework sent home or on Seesaw each Friday. Children will need to complete this by the following Tuesday. Children who bring homework in on time will recieve a homework dojo.
Reading
Reading is a very important aspect of learning not just in Year2, but right throughout the children's school journey. We actively encourage you to read every night with your child. In order for your child to gain reading rewards you need to read with them 5/7 nights and sign and date their reading record.
