Mr Malkin
Your Year 6M class teacher is Mr Malkin and your Teaching Assistant is Miss Dunderdale.
Here you will be able to read and find out about all of the different things that we get up to in Year 6. We will upload Knowledge Organisers for each topic every half term.
In Year 6, we spilt into groups for English and maths. Your English teachers are: Miss Ball, Mrs Shepherd, Mr Malkin and Miss Walker. Your maths teachers are: Mrs Cranney, Mr Malkin and Mr Blundell.
Homework will be set each Friday. This will need to be complete by the following Tuesday. This includes practising spellings on Edshed and reading an accelerated reader book.
A note for parents: It is very important that pupils in Year 6 engage daily with reading and have their book bag in school every day. Children should read at least 5 nights out of 7 and make sure they complete an accelerated reader quiz after they finish a book. The quiz can only be completed in school.
Reading Records are collected and checked every day; we keep a log of this throughout the year. If your child has read, please sign the record the evening before and they will receive a Dojo reward in the morning. We have spoken to Year 6 and have confirmed that if they would like the responsibilty of signing their own records, they can, providing that an adult at home oversees this and signs at least once a week.
