World Book Day

For this year’s World Book Day we would like children to take part in our ‘ Potato Challenge’ competition. To enter children will need to take a regular potato and transform it into a character from their favourite book. This can be from any text, fiction or non-fiction, and we encourage children to think carefully about the features of their chosen character. We will then be holding a competition on the day for the most unique design in each class.

To celebrate our love of reading, we are also inviting children to dress up as a character from their favourite book. Alternatively, linking with our love of language, your child may wish to dress as their favourite adjective. This could be anything from ‘spotty’ to ‘adventurous’ to extravagant’.
