Remote Learning Year 3

Welcome to the Y3 Remote Learning webpage. Please see links below that your child can use to access our remote learning curriculum. If a whole class is self isolating, we are delivering whole class lessons on Microsoft Teams. Your child has had a log in which they used throughout lockdown. 

Microsoft Teams

Seesaw Is an online learning platform where pupils can access learning set by their class teacher and upload their work to be marked. All children have their own login for this. Your child can access the Read to Write activities for English lessons in line with class on SeeSaw. The book being read in school will also be available on Seesaw too. 

Mathematics

MyMaths is an online programme that gives lessons and activities for children to complete.  Please make sure to work through the lesson first using the numbers down the side and then complete each part of the task.  Your teacher can see how you are doing and reset tasks if you need more practise.  You will have been assigned tasks to complete and will see these when you log in.

English

  

ReadTheory is an online reading comprehension program with a huge library of reading content, both fiction and non-fiction. After completing an initial assessment, children are able to complete reading quizzes and achieve 'knowledge points' to move through different levels. Your teacher can also track your progress and see how you are doing on each quiz.

Spellings will be uploaded to SeeSaw each week in line with the spellings taught in class. Remember to try and use different spelling strategies to practise these. 

Readiwriter is is  a spelling program that helps your child practise their spellings. All children have their own login for this and can can practise their spellings at home using the fun games. 

myON  Reader is a digital library that allows children to access over 6000 books. Children can read books at their accelerated reader ZPD level and take quizzes on the books they have read. Audio books are also avaialble. All children have their own login for this. 

Letter-join is a handwriting programme that supports pupils with cursive writing. Each class has their own log in for this. Teachers will also upload worksheets onto Seesaw so children can practise in their handwriting books. 

French

Language Angels is an online language programme that gives interactive games for children to practise their French skills. All pupils have an individual login and your teacher will be able to view the games you have been playing.

Science

BBC Bitesize is a great website to continue learning scientific fatcs and developing scienctific skills. There are lots of quizzes, interactive games and videos.

Other

If you would like to access more resources and lessons from home, take a look at the Oak Academy. They have lessons for each subject to hep your child at home.

Oak Academy Library  will provide you with free books from a popular children's author or illustrator, exclusive videos and their top three recommended reads. The author will change weekly.
