Beacon student's designs to go on display at Manchester Museum

In the past academic year children from the Beacon were involved in the very successful Tale of 2 Cities art project. Where they dyed fabrics and drew their own designs, Sally Gilford then created deck-chairs and aprons for the project using these over the summer.

These deck chairs were displayed during the International Festival of Business when they were on display at our Northern Flowerhouse Beach Hut on the Albert Dock and received brilliant feedback.

From Saturday 10th to Thursday 15th September our designs and more from the project will be on display at Manchester Museum, which the Lord of Mayor will be visiting. This will take place on Thursday 15th September from 2:15-3:00pm. We are very proud of this work and we are sure this will be an excellent exhibition to visit!

This project may lead onto our continued involvement in more of these exciting workshops connected with wildflowers.
