Liverpool Forest School Launch

We have been very lucky to be involved in the Liverpool Forest Schools Project alongside The Lancashire Wildlife Trust and The Postcode Lottery. The participating children in Donaldson Class have attended 2 sessions down in Everton Park Nature Garden and today we took 6 more children to the launch of the project.

We learned how to be safe in our environment and then explored the different activities on offer. The children chose to construct different objects using sticks. We made a den, a fishing rod, a star, a magic wand, a bracelet and the letter A! Then we had a go of using a hammer tool, which we called a smasher, to make flower pressed bunting flags. We also became explorers, den builders and chefs in the mud kitchen. The children were all so engaged in their chosen activities and loved chatting to adults and children from other schools. We even had an interview with Radio Merseyside!

A big thank you to The Lancashire Wildlife Trust for a fantastic day, to our amazing children and our brilliant parent helper. We had a wonderful time!
