Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour with Nick Sharratt!

Nick Sharratt, a popular well known author will be visiting our school on Tuesday 31st January 2017. He is probably best known for his work with Jacqueline Wilson and Julia Donaldson, he has won awards for both collaborations and individual efforts such as Pants! and most recently Shark in the Park on a Windy Day! As I am sure you can imagine, the children and staff are all very excited about meeting Nick as our whole school target is ‘To promote a love of reading within the whole school community and raise standards’ and we feel that meeting a real author is very aspirational!

What is the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour?

The Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour brings the very best authors in the UK and beyond directly into classrooms to meet children. They feel that this is the best way to get children really excited about books and reading.
